I wrote it a long time ago for myself, I post it without source code, since my Java code is far from perfect. Create a separate folder, for example, LogViewer, and extract the LogViewer file from the attached archive.jar and can output the shortcut to the desktop. Tulsa will create an ini file at startup, in which it will remember the folder with test logs (so that it does not specify it each time at startup).
How it works
Open the folder with logs and select the desired file
After selecting the log file, you can choose whether to work with all records or only with individual test/optimization runs.
Next, you can apply a filter to select only lines that contain some desired text. The remaining lines will be hidden
In addition, you can enable highlighting of lines that contain the desired text
Finally, you can quickly move to the highlighted lines by clicking the “Forward” and “Back” buttons”
If necessary, you can quickly select another log file from the same folder

That’s not what I meant. The Terminal has two logs-the Experts and Log tabs. In the Tester, these two logs are combined into one. I would like to be able to see each log separately.

I think I understand what this is about. But so far I have made this option – LogViewer.jar Version 1.20
PS True, it now seems to me that this is a useless feature.

I agree. And in the case of a tester, you also need to be able to view a specific time area, i.e. have a time range filter that filters not the testing time, but the time of events.

You write as if there is nothing.
A great viewer with filters has been around for a long time:
And there is even a log viewer for any agent. Available in sub-menu of the agents.
Soon there will be big changes in the tester and working with its archives of previous runs. So the functionality will be tightened.

I would have understood if you, Rashid, had published this brainchild before you worked at MQ. As a normal user.
But now that you’re part of the team, why not push these certainly convenient features into the built-in viewer?!

It would be nice (and in MT5 itself) to be able to hide tester/user messages in the test log.
